It will celebrate 100 years of pop up charity shops, which first started in London during WW1. They were known as 'Gift Houses' and people donated a treasure trove of things, from painting, pets... even a pair of Pointers. Even Her Majesty the Queen and Queen Mary donated to and purchased from the Gift Houses along with thousands of people helping fundraising efforts for the War.
The Gift House scheme is an initiative to drive stock to British Red Cross charity shops in the run up to Christmas. We are delighted to be included in this magnificent cause.
Get to Covent Garden from November 7th to purchase some of the Lane collection and support British Red Cross.
At the Gift House you will also find donations from designers such as Stella McCartney, Erdem, Giles Deacon, Philip Treacy, Ostwald Helgram, Sienna Miller, Heal's, Boden and Russell and Bromley... just to name a few!
