Available now on pre-order and released 2nd November 2015
We are thrilled to say that we have now launched the Beam table lamp. Beam has 32 paper fins that are slotted together to make an elegant and lightweight silhouette. It is a contemporary take on the classic concertina form. The first in the Beam series, it will soon be available in different sizes and shapes.
Beam is made from four sheets of paper bonded together to make a thick card. The paper is made in Cumbria and by one of the oldest mills in the country.
“The interplay of light and shadow from the fins creates the impression of glowing, transparent colours"
- Joff Casciani - Lane Creative Director.
Beam is another Lane product that is made entirely in England. Lane support British craftsmanship and the best of British materials wherever possible.
“We want to make beautiful products that are an investment in the craftspeople and communities around us. In a world of cheap imports, we think this is the future of British design.”
- Oliver Wood - Lane Design Director.
Beam is made from the Colorplan paper range supplied by high end British paper supplier GF Smith. Colorplan is one of the world’s leading papers and has been celebrated as a Great British material since 1967.
