Twin Tone Lampshades and Prints on sale at Summer Fayre
On 23rd May, 12:00 - 11:00pm, Lane will be having a sample sale at our home, Primary Studios.
The Primary Summer Fayre is an all afternoon and evening extravaganza of creative delights, great local food, crafts and activities to raise vital funds for Primary.
Located in the old Douglas Primary School, on Ilkeston Road, (between Seely Road & Douglas Road, near Canning Circus) Primary is now artist studios, an exhibition space and a community facility.
The proceeds from the Summer Fayre will help the organisation develop this unique, local facility.
Over 45 food, craft, book and art stalls; real bread bakery and cafe; artisan coffee; art events; activities; games and workshops.
Gourmet BBQ; local wine, ale and cocktails; live music and DJs.

If you enjoyed the food at Uncanny Canteen, ‘Real Bread Bakery’ Small Food bring their usual delights to Primary. Open all day serving quite simply the best bread, cakes and lunchtime / early evening snacks in Nottingham. Come and see where real bread is made.
Nottingham’s finest coffee roasters bring their carefully sourced coffee to Primary. Available to drink on the day and take home from the stall.
Small Food Pop Up Ice Cream Parlour
Absolutely the best ice cream in the world (or definitely in Radford). Handmade Italian style gelato, made in Primary by Kimberley Bell. Mango, anise and rice; Gooseberry and elderflower; Blackcurrant and lavender; Strawberry pavlova; Raspberry and Rose; Chocolate and chestnut honey; Blackberry and violet and Rose and almond milk.
Dee’s Global Kitchen
Gluten, meat and dairy free, fermented, probiotic delights. Global food delights from this well known Notts Nosh stall holder. Seriously tasty and very good for you.
Post Office Garden
Plants and handmade preserves from Post Office Garden, this Woodborough based outfit grown many of their own ingredients, keep bees and make wonderful things to put on bread.
Colourful, fresh tasty hummus and dips, made with care and from local produce. Pimp your crispbread from Small Food Bakery, get a drink and let the nibbling commence.

Nu Urban Gardeners
Simon Withers and Chris Lewis Jones AKA Nu Urban Gardeners will be hosting a fun food-orientated intervention entitled ‘Cabbages and Kings’. This surrealistic intervention will take the form of a competition based loosely on TV and Radio panel shows. Come down and get involved.
Get Shot by David Severn & Kashif Nadim Chaudry
Get your portrait taken by one of the UKs finest young photographers David Severn. Taking a break from working with top titles such as The Times and Monocle, David collaborates with one of Primary’s most exciting artists Kashif Nadim Chaudry. Nadim will be creating a mysterious ‘backdrop environment’ for your portrait. Expect beautiful colours, mysterious skulls in the enchanting artists studio. First come first served on the day.

Primary Ices by John Newling
International Artist John Newling brings philosophical ice lollies to Primary. First created in Dublin in 1998, Ices, is a work where the artist will be selling ice lollies with philosophical statements printed on the sticks. The ice lollies will be made in collaboration with Small Food bakery. Suck on your sucker and have a ponder.

Chris Denny, Head Chef of the acclaimed Four to Eight in Covent Garden, will be cooking for the evening barbeque – more information to be announced.
The Truth and Lies Pop Up Local
Strictly local cocktails with Leicestershire gin, real ale from Radford’s very own Nottingham Brewery and white wine from Nottinghamshire vineyard Eglantine. In contrast Truth and Lies Djs bring you an international flavour of music – from Nigeria to nottingham, Basford to Brazil.
Live Music from Jab
The new trio from stellar bandleader and saxophonist Ben Martin, brings a funkier, looser jazz with a deeper groove to Das Kino and a new sound for the Nottingham live music scene.
Ben Martin is one of the best saxophonists around and this week he brings his guitar skills to the stage with this new outfit. He plays with the best jazz musicians in the country and was once a regular at the world famous Ronnie Scotts.
He’s joined by Jack Atherton on drums, just back from Jake Bugg’s world tour, and Marin Spencer on bass, a slick operator of the strings having played with the likes of Cara Emerald and Lady Gaga.
