Eroica Britannia Festival in the Peak District, Friday 16th - Sunday 18th June 2017
We’re putting on our shopkeeper hats and donning our cycling helmets ready for Eroica Britannia Festival this weekend! Set in the beautiful Peak District National Park just an hour away from our studio, we’re thrilled to be having a stall at the 3-day family friendly cycling festival.
Eroica celebrates everything that Lane loves and values – heritage, the best food and drink, style, craftsmanship, music and entertainment. And this weekend it will all be centred around the joy of cycling.
Set in the spectacular British landscape of Friden Grange at Newhaven in Derbyshire, Eroica is a three day festival that culminates in the bike ride to end all bike rides. Setting off on Sunday, some of the festival goers will hop on their pre-1987 heroic road bikes on short, medium or long routes along the High Peak Trail. By only cycling on these types of bikes, Eroica encourages cyclers to appreciate the serenity of slow travel, healthy sport and exercise and let's us enjoy the beauty of the magnificent setting.
Best of Britannia Stalls
Alongside music, food, drink and vintage fairground rides, we will be joining our friends at Best of Britannia to take part in a three day shopping extravaganza celebrating British craftsmanship. BOB is a retail and events platform that supports British businesses who are making beautiful, well made and high quality products. Craftsmen and women, artisans, designers and manufacturers have been curated and united at BOB and all will have stalls for visitors to meet the makers and discover their range of products.
And on top of all this, there's a few more things we’re particularly excited about seeing during the festival...
Legendary British DJ Norman Jay MBE
Shopping preview with opening day discounts at over 150 shops
Late night cocktail and gin bars
80s pop band ABC
Eroica’s Outfitting and General Store
The Britannia Arms Tavern (promising to be a typical British boozer)
Ride day! Watching 4500 riders dressed up to the nines in vintage apparel setting off on a great British adventure.
We’ll also be taking full advantage of the food and drink on offer all weekend from Graze street food, Jimmy’s Iced Coffee bar, the Hendrick’s gin and Bollinger champagne bar. And you’ll certainly see us watching the local bands on the main stage, as well as the choirs and brass and swing bands!
Tickets for the festival are still available on the Eroica website and there will be some ride day tickets available to buy on the day.
