Lane Print Workshop in the 'Truth & Lies' tent - Saturday 12th August 2017
Come and print with us!
We're pleased to announce that this weekend we'll be at the inaugural Houghton Festival, held at Houghton Hall in North Norfolk.
Houghton is a wonderful estate with a very special art gallery and sculpture garden and is the venue for what is set to be the summer’s leading electronic music festival. It is curated by DJ and Fabric resident Craig Richards and produced by Gottwood, the minds behind the acclaimed electronic festival Gottwood Set in North Wales.
Nottingham collaborators Truth & Lies have curated a special event, ‘Revolution and Change: Venezuela and the Tropics’ that is going to run throughout the day, evening and late into the night that celebrates the music, culture and film of the region.
Expect to hear music from Venezuela, Brass Band Music from New Orleans, rumblings from West Africa as well as feature films, talks and documentaries throughout the day.
Lane x Revolution and Change - Letterpress and Screen Printing
Lane Print Workshop – Saturday 11am - 8pm
Festival goers will be able to drop in anytime and have a go at traditional screen printing methods and experience the tactility of print. Lane designer, typographer and artist Oliver Wood will be running a screen print workshop in homage to the great Venezuelan Op Artist Carlos Cruz-Diez. We have designed our own Cruz-Diez inspired screen print for the public to come and have a go on. Read more about the artist and the design that we’ll be printing.
