'Botanical Style' - Selina Lake - Light Peachblossom & Carmine Twin Tone Lampshade - Apartment Apothecary styling
In a celebration of flowers, foliage and everything botanical, Selina Lake's new book 'Botanical Style' is a beautiful and inspiring publication. Nestled amongst the 'Urban Live/Work' pages of the 'Vintage Botanicals' section we spotted our pink Twin Tone Lampshade. Interior stylist and blogger Katy Orme of Apartment Apothecary had her home photographed for the book and in her all-white bedroom hangs our Little Greene lampshade.
Selina chose Katy's house for the book because of the marriage of a very modern space with all things vintage. In the bedroom, vintage decorating is the key theme. Using white as the base colour, Katy uses pink-themed 'vintage botanical' details to decorate the room. The Abigail Borg 'Friti' cushion, an old floral eiderdown and a vase of pink roses and penstemons look elegant, fresh and summery. To draw the pink elements together, the Light Peachblossom & Carmine lampshade adds a modern finishing touch.
The other images of Katy's apartment are just as beautiful and interesting, as are the all of the other living spaces that are featured. Be sure to get yourself a copy - it is published by book publishers Ryland Peters & Small, who specialise in books on homes, interiors and gardens. All of the photographs were taken by freelance photographer Rachel Whiting, who specialises in interiors and still life.
Thanks to Selina, Katy, Rachel and everyone at Ryland Peters and Small for allowing us to show you this lovely image.
